It seems so difficult for my beloved country, Indonesia, to heal itself... The case inside the attorney hasn't finished and still, there's another corruption case.

A member of the house of representatives has been caught by KPK(A committee that was established to fight against corruption) because he has accepted cash from a stranger in the amount of IDR 715 millions. There are also another evidence. They are USD 60 thousands and EUR 10 thousands in cash!!! The name of that shameless man is Bulyan Royan from the fraction of Bintang Reformasi Party. He is also a member of Comission V in parliement. There's a suspicion that the money was a bribe. The case is connected with the supply of new patrol ships in Transportation Department.

With Bulyan Royan, it means that there have been 2 members of parliement that have been caught because of bribery in this year. Nevertheless, it's not a good achievement for a country that boasts itself as the biggest Moslem country on the earth. In fact, there's another information said that Bintang Reformasi Party had prepared a law aid to defend Bulyan Royan...

As an Indonesian, I am absolutely disappointed with the government. The executive has raised the price of fuel in impolite way while the legislative and the judicial have betrayed the trust of their own people... I must say that there's no pride when your government easily accept bribe...

BLBI-Another Sad Story from Indonesia#2

At least, the truth has been revealed... One of the attorney of the old BLBI case, Urip Tri Gunawan was arrested by Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi(KPK-A committee that was established to fight against corruption) on March 2nd in Syamsul Nursalim's house with 660.000 US dollars as the evidence. Of course, Syamsul Nursalim(read BLBI-Another Sad Story from Indonesia#1, he is involved in BLBI case...) was arrested too.

There's a suspicion that the money are from Artalyta Suryani in order to protect Syamsul Nursalim. You can imagine that Urip is the 'doctor' and Syamsul Nursalim is the 'patient' . Then Artalyta is the 'money giver' . If we connect this bribery case with the old BLBI case(which has been stopped by the attorney on February 29th without a clear explanation), everything will be clear... Syamsul Nursalim, through Aratalyta, bribed Urip in order to stop the BLBI case...

Recently, the other evidence is given in the court. It is a recording from the brief dialogue between Artalyta and Urip, one day before Urip was arrested by KPK. One thing that makes me embarassing is that Urip still denied that evidence. This BLBI case is 10 years old and there's like no light in the end of this complicated case. Honesty is one thing that you will hardly find in this country...

BLBI-Another Sad Story from Indonesia#1

Bantuan Likuiditas Bank Indonesia(BLBI) is a loan assistance that was given by Bank Indonesia(BI) to the banks that have involved in liquidity problems during moneter crisis 1998. That scheme was done based an agreement between Indonesia and IMF in order to overcome the crisis.

In December 1998, BI distributed BLBI in the amount of 147,7 quintillion rupiahs to 48 banks. The audit of Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan(BPK-Finances Investigator Committee) has showed an indication of BLBI deviation in the amount of 138 quintillion rupiahs.

The acceptors of BLBI are Agus Anwar(Bank Pelita), Samadikun Hartono(Bank Modern), Kaharuddin Ongko(Bank Umum Nasional), Ulung Bursa(Bank Lautan Berlian), Atang Latief(Bank Indonesia Raya), Lidia Muchtar and Omar Putihrai(Bank Tamara), Adisaputra Januardy and James Januardy(Bank Namura Yasonta), Marimutu Sinivasan(Bank Putera Multikarsa), Santosa Sumali(Bank Metropolitan dan Bank Bahari), Fadel Muhammad(Bank Intan), Baringin MH Panggabean dan Joseph Januardy(Bank Namura Internusa), Trijono Gondokusumo(Bank Putera Surya Perkasa), Hengky Wijaya and Tony Tanjung(Bank Tata), I Gde Dermawan and Made Sudiarta(Bank Aken), Tarunojo Nusa and David Nusa Wijaya(Bank Umum Servitia).

BLBI Fund has been deviated so much by the acceptors Some of the acceptors , even, has been condemned by law. They, for example, are Paul Sutopo Tjokronegoro, Hendro Budiyanto and Heru Supratomo. But because of the weakness of the law, usually the suspected will be able to flee from his responsibility. The peak happened in the last February when the attorney decided that Anthony Salim(Bank Central Asia) and Syamsul Nursalim(Bank Dagang Nasional Indonesia) have no fault before the law. The attorney even ignored the fact that the BLBI case has caused financial loss in the amount of 760 quintillion rupiahs...

It's Showtime!!!!

At last, Munarman showed himself... On Tuesday, June 10th, Munarman came to the headquarter of Jakarta Police Department alone. He got there by taxi and welcomed by the policemen on 7.50 p.m. Sigh..... How relieved I am!! In a short time, of course, he has officially arrested by Jakarta's police department.

The worst part is there are a bunch of lawyer that ready to defend Munarman(The chief of FPI that has overwhelmed the members of AKKBB a few days ago)!!! There are 60 lawyers that gathered together in a team. 60??? Yep!!! There are 60 of them....

Newspapers said that he was still in Jakarta when he is in the run. Even, Munarman could participate in another demonstration in front of State Palace to protest the existence of Ahmadiyah(The protest happened on Monday, June 9th....) Do you know what Munarman said afterward??? He easily reasoned that he did that savagery to defend his God... Hahaha I don't think that his God will be happy when hears that...

And what about Ahmadiyah??? Sigh... I don't even understand why people get angry because of Ahmadiyah... According to our constitution(Article 28E and 29), every inhabitant has his own right to believe in his belief. am I wrong?? And now government seems so weak, having no power or whatsoever, so then they have decided to make a new constitution for Ahmadiyah!!!

The constitution is called 'SKB 3 Menteri' . It's a constitution that is established by 3 minister. They are Religion Minister, Attorney General and Domestic Minister. By establishing that SKB, government seems just following whatever is dominant!!! The ambiguity of that rules also has caused people confuse!! The followers Ahmadiyah are insisted to be like the other Moslems!!!!! How cruel it is!!!

FPI Strikes Back...

After a long time has done nothing, FPI just showed its savagery for the sake of religion...

Religion?? Yep... Recently they insist the government to dissolve Ahmadiyah, the other religious sect in Islam. They said that Ahmadiyah is a deviate religious sect and the government has a responsibility to dissolve Ahmadiyah. But, forbidding people to believe their belief is not easy. Many people disagree, because noone has any right to curse another belief. In fact, noone get hurt by believing Ahmadiyah's doctrines...

Then, without any signal, on Juni 1st the members of FPI overwhelm the members of AKKBB in Monas(It's like Liberty in New York.... The symbol of Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia) It's an irony, considering that Indonesia was celebrating the birthday of Pancasila(The basic principals of Indonesia). At that time AKKBB was holding a peace campaign to commemorate the birthday of Pancasila....

Who is FPI? It's 'Front Pembela Islam' in Indonesian... in English, you can say it as a grup that dedicates their organization to defend Islam. But, seeing from what they've done lately, including caused damages in 'Playboy' office, I think they just make the Moslem world worst. They reasoned that the violence was the result of the government's attitude that seems so unfirm toward Ahmadiyah. also, because of AKKBB that has defended Ahmadiyah recently. But, as expected, noone agree about the violence that has been taken by FPI....

Now, the chief of FPI, Habib Rizieq Shihab, has been arrested. And Munarman?? He is on the run!!! You must know that a few hours after the incident, he boasted that he will take responsibility for the incident!!! Ha! Where are you Munarman??? Noone deserves to do violence!!! Even for the sake of God!!!

Adipura????

There's a happy news for my first post here... My origin city, Surabaya, has got an Adipura!!!!

Adipura???? It's a symbol of the cleanliness of a city. Getting Adipura means that Surabaya is clean enough.... See???

Honestly, Am I really happy with it???I'm not so sure. You can come here to prove it. Okay...the centre of the city is very clean, of course... Furthermore, there are a lot of public parks that seems very well-groomed. But, when you see the other side of Surabaya, you will doubt whether this city has got an Adipura. Why??? The road is so awful (Many people get killed because of the road...) And the canals??? They're bad... City government should learn more about those things. Because of the bad canals, Surabaya will be flooded by water in rainy season (Sometimes I can suffer because of it... In rainy season, there will be a big flood in my own home!!! Hiks3x)

Also, there's nothing that I can proud about the public facilities. The markets and the bus stations are the worst part... I've gone a bus station at once. Believe me...that is a terrible experience, especially the restrooms...

Of course, we can't blame anyone about them. At least, I should be grateful because my origin city can get Adipura although Adipura itself isn't so important. The most important thing is that the city government has got a motivation... We can hope that the motivation can keep their passion in doing a better job for the future of Surabaya.

I guess getting Adipura means a lot of pressure, if you see around and know that you don't deserve to get that... Sigh...

Okay... This is my first post in ketelarebus. From now on, I will write anything that has happened in my country, Indonesia. Indonesia??? This country is located between Australia and Asia... We are included in South East Asia. Just open your map, there's a country that lies above Australia and consists of many islands (about 17.000, they said...). Yep!!! I live in that country...

And about ketelarebus?? The name is from Indonesian, consists of 2 words, namely 'ketela' and 'rebus'. You can call it 'boiled sweet potato' in English. Why? Because it is delicious!!! I wish that ketelarebus wil be able to provide you warm and fresh 'snack' when you read it^^
